Garth Club RBL To Meet Potential New Trustees
Members of Mortimer parish council met Royal British Legion representatives recently, to discuss the transfer of the Garth Club building and land to new trustees. This follows last October’s call for parties interested in taking on the trusteeship of the land and building to come forward. The Legion will now set up meetings, expected by end April, with two potential trustees to discuss their proposals. The discussions will cover their obligations in taking over the Trust and explore each proposal in greater detail to confirm their ability to bring the building back into community use. They’ve also agreed that would be trustees can be granted access to the building.
