petition presented to West Berkshire Council Executive
Nearly 1100 residents signed the petition objecting to the possible eviction of residents from Windmill Court.
As a result, the item was put on the agenda of 22 September meeting of the West Berkshire Council Executive.
Organisers of the petition, created at the request and on behalf of residents, presented the issue to the Executive under agenda item 5.
The originally expected request from Sovereign Housing Association to lift the restrictions that prevent eviction, had not been made. As a result, the council leader and meeting chairman Lynn Doherty confirmed only that the petition had been accepted by the council as valid and that they will be in touch if and when an approach is made to lift restrictions on the premises.
