food waste collections start 31 October
To reduce food waste in landfill, and the level of methane release which is a greenhouse gas, you will soon receive indoor (grey) and outdoor (green) food waste caddies together with some compostable liners. Delivery is due by 28 October, unless your property uses a shared bin, where a purple outside bin will be delivered by 25 November.
Your first collection of the new service will co incide with your black bin or recycling collection from week commencing 31 October 2022 (or 28 November for shared bin users).
You should aim to start using your indoor food waste caddy (instead of the bin), from week commencing 24 October (or 21 November for shared bin users).
