Plastic Free Mortimer
how it started
Plastic free communities are derived from Surfers Against Sewage, who aim to free our oceans of plastic waste.
surfers against sewage
set up by residents, led by Andrea, Plastic Free Mortimer is one of many such communities in the country, working to reduce the level of needless plastic.
the mass unwrap
To highlight the amount of needless plastic food packaging, 37 people willingly removed 73 articles of unwanted plastic packaging from their shopping, at Budgens Mortimer in March 2019! Newbury’s Kennet Radio were on hand to witness it.
